Around 250 Miles Away
Earlier, we talked about the ISS and how it hasn’t been left unmanned since 2000. However, the people in the satellite are actually a lot closer to home than we think. In fact, this satellite is just about 253 miles in the sky, which is about 130 miles shorter than the distance between LA and San Francisco.

Although the trip from LA to Frisco is about six hours by car, we’re more than certain that the trip of the ISS to LA would be a lot faster and a lot fierier. Hopefully, this never happens, and the scientists can continue to do research inside of the artificial satellite.
