#34: The Electric Chair Toy, 1978
Once in a while, a toy is released that has everyone wondering what the company was thinking. Look, we played with some strange objects when we were children, but Barbies and building blocks were always the staples. We’re not against innovation, but when it comes to children’s toys, there needs to be more consideration.
We wonder, what were they thinking by putting this on the market? Did they plan it to “teach children about the death penalty?” If so, it seems like an intense way to convey the message to them. For whatever reason, this toy was created; we’re just glad it doesn’t exist on the market anymore.
