#17: A Swimming Face Mask, 1928
If you plan to spend time at the pool this summer, you better bring protection against UV rays. It might not be obvious, but even people in the 1960s were preoccupied with not getting sunburnt. These days, we have easier methods of protecting ourselves against the sun, but resources were limited back then.

However, they might’ve been more worried about another type of radiation back then… Between the fear of nuclear war and the bizarre beauty items they kept inventing, it must’ve not been that easy a decade to live through. They always paint it like the best era, but we doubt it was if they had to wear full-face swimming masks.
