#15: Boxer
The Boxer was developed in Germany in the late 19th century from the now-extinct Bullenbeisser and English Bulldogs. Initially bred for hunting large game and serving as a working dog, Boxers are energetic, affectionate, and playful. Their athleticism and strong bond with their families make them popular companions.

Despite their generally friendly demeanor, Boxers are powerful, excitable, and can be stubborn. If they lack training and supervision, they may inadvertently cause injury through rough play or exuberant behavior. Their size and occasional involvement in bite reports have placed them on certain high-liability breed lists.
