#9: Cane Corso
The Cane Corso is an Italian mastiff breed descended from ancient Roman war dogs. Historically used for guarding property, hunting large game, and working livestock, they are muscular, intelligent, and loyal. Today, they are prized for their confidence and imposing presence as family protectors.

Cane Corsos are protective, strong-willed, and need firm, consistent training from an early age. Without proper socialization, they may become overly territorial or aggressive toward strangers and other animals. Their size, strength, and guarding instincts have placed them on many restricted breed lists.
