Most weddings have peaceful ceremonies and festive receptions that follow. Sometimes, people drink too much and act foolishly. Depending on the families, that is expected to an extent. Normally, it’s just funny and harmless. Things don’t normally take a turn to the violent side.

Unless, of course, the mother-in-law certainly despises the bride to the point of physically attacking her in the parking lot just after the wedding. It doesn’t sound like the honeymoon was much of a honeymoon, as the bride’s bruises served as a constant reminder. How the mother-in-law doesn’t remember a thing still doesn’t make her actions in any way forgivable.
