The Siberian Unicorn
The Siberian unicorn may sound like a mythical creature from a fairy tale, but it was actually a real-life animal that roamed the Earth 39,000 years ago. Despite its name, the Siberian unicorn was not a horse with a horn, but rather a massive, shaggy-haired rhinoceros with a single horn on its head. It’s like something out of a sci-fi movie, but this creature was very much real.

Unfortunately, the Siberian unicorn went extinct thousands of years ago, leaving behind only fossils and our imaginations. But we can still marvel at the idea of this majestic beast wandering through the icy tundras of Siberia with its horn held high. Maybe it was a peaceful creature, or maybe it was a fearsome predator – we’ll never know for sure. But one thing’s for certain – the Siberian unicorn was a creature of legend, even if it never made it into our storybooks.
