A Different Perspective of Earth
The picture of Earth from the moon taken by Lunar Orbiter 1 in 1966 is truly out of this world (sorry, we couldn’t resist the pun). It’s not every day that you get to see your own planet from a whole new perspective – in fact, you could say it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience! But what’s really amazing about this photo is the way it puts everything into perspective.

Suddenly, all those petty squabbles and minor differences seem pretty insignificant when you see just how small our planet really is in the grand scheme of things. It’s like the ultimate zoom-out function on Google Maps. It’s like getting a postcard from a far-off land, but way more impressive. Thanks, Lunar Orbiter 1, for giving us a whole new outlook on life.
