Some people say that “ignorance is bliss,” but I absolutely have to disagree with them there. Being wilfully ignorant is definitely not an attractive trait, and it seems there are other negatives associated with it, too. For example, psychologists state that being ignorant can negatively affect your sense of self-esteem.

Additionally, being wilfully ignorant can lead you to hold prejudiced or unfair views of other people. There’s no reason for anybody to want to feel that way, so I totally agree with this guy who’s calling women out for being this way. We should always seek to enrich our minds with knowledge!
