Full Tilt Boogie
Recognizing the discord in the Kozmic Blues band, Janis Joplin boldly set sail from that ensemble. In the twilight year of her life, she assembled her final musical troupe. Initially christened as Main Squeeze, they soon rebranded to the electrifying name of Full Tilt Boogie. For a fleeting moment, Janis reveled in joy, her new band received a warm embrace from fans and critics alike. Alas, this harmonious interlude was not destined to endure.

In the twilight of her life, Janis Joplin crossed paths with Kris Kristofferson, a man destined to become her lover and the pen behind her chart-topping hit, “Me and Bobby McGee”. Embracing the hard-edged, sensual, and hedonistic aspects of her personality, she christened herself “Pearl”. This moniker encapsulated her love for Southern Comfort, her truck-driving spirit, and her penchant for colorful language.
