Ah, the subway. It’s the great equalizer. Businessmen ride alongside small children, buskers hop on and perform next to celebrities, and tourists try to act natural among it all. Most New Yorkers can spot a tourist from a mile away, even if they are trying to blend in and prove themselves as locals. This New Yorker tried to offer some kindly advice to a tourist on the subway.

Whether the tourist was embarrassed or too proud, their attempt to look cool and natural backfired.
